During 2019-20 I made a large amount of ladders, truss sections and railroad track from all manner of found timber including timber venetian blinds. I made many different sizes and scales, and then put them together in various assemblages. I was using these elements in combinations to invoke the concept of escape.

One was a sculptural piece installed in the Suter Art Gallery for the Arts Society’s autumn exhibition, and then in NMIT’s g-space I created an immersive installation including blank footage from super 8mm projectors. This second iteration included more elements and pushed the notion of Escape a little further.
