This is my first sound sculpture, utilising a surplus piano with and upright action (upright grand) and an old grinding sandstone I wanted it simply pair these two weighty objects in a manner that befits them. The pendulum is made from parts of the piano and when swung right will strike the side of the piano which causes all the strings to vibrate/resonate.

The sound and mechanism has been captured and replayed on the TV screen that acts as a mirror. This then also plays the sound as well which is run tryu effects pedals to give delay and chorus. The pendulum swings for about 45 minutes from piano strike to still due to it weight.
