Surrogate is a sculptural piece that plays multiple projections simultaneously. The content is recorded slides of long forgotten holidays, family snaps, and found 8mm home movie.
My premise is our memories are fallible, we make our memories from recorded history to some extent, and often there are conflicting accounts from people who were there at the same time. The cloud of images shown in Surrogate is not my own, but they could be, and could be anyone’s.
