Unreliable Artefacts was a commissioned installation for Nelson Jewellery Week 2023. I chose to take over this lane as it had the perfect elements to turn it into something noticeable, something that would be more readily found in a big city.

I took lines and titles from popular song lyrics and presented them in a commercial context. I was aiming to make the lane look and feel as if some dubious activities were going on, provoking gossip and intrigue.

It seemed to work as there was a fair bit of speculation that a brothel had opened up in the lane!
